Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your 5-day Masai Mara and Diani Beach safari begins early in the morning where you will be picked from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and depart to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Great Rift Valley, stopping at Mt. Longonot Viewpoint for stunning panoramic views and a chance to capture photos of this dormant volcano. Continue your journey through the Masai plains, arriving at your lodge or camp, check-in with lunch. After a short rest, set out for an evening game drive across the golden plains of the Mara. This first glimpse into the wild in search of the big five lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and possibly a leopard resting in the acacia trees. Return to your camp/lodge as the sun sets for dinner and overnight stay..

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart for a full-day Masai Mara game drive, exploring the vast wilderness where nature comes alive. The day is dedicated to discovering the reserve’s incredible wildlife including prides of lions, herds of elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, and the graceful Masai giraffe. Day 3: Masai mara – Diani

After breakfast, check out, take an optional visit to a Masai village, where you’ll meet the Masai people, learn about their traditions, dances, and way of life. Later, drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for your flight or SGR train to Diani. Upon arrival at Ukunda Airport or Mombasa SGR station, you’ll be transferred to your hotel or resort in Diani. Check in, freshen up and relax as you take in the peaceful coastal atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at your hotel or resort.

Day 4: Full day Diani

After breakfast, you may choose to relax at the beach or enjoy the resort’s / hotel facilities at your own pace or embark on an optional full-day excursion to Wasini Island, one of Kenya’s most beautiful marine destinations, begin with a traditional dhow cruise in search of wild dolphins, a magical experience as they play and leap alongside the boat. Continue to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, famous for its coral reefs and rich marine life. Here, you can snorkel or swim among colorful tropical fish and explore the crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a Swahili seafood lunch on Wasini Island before sailing back. Dinner and overnight at your hotel / resort.

Day 5: Diani Beach – Departure

Enjoy the morning sunrise as you have your breakfast. Later check out and transfer to Ukunda Airport or Mombasa terminus for your journey back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta international airport.
