Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli (Flight)

Your 5-day Kenya flying safari begins with a pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning flight to Amboseli. The 45-minute flight offers sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley and Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, enjoy a short game drive en route to your camp or lodge, where you’ll check in, have some rest then enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife set against the dramatic backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at your camp/lodge.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park – Full Day Safari

After breakfast, depart for a full-day safari in Amboseli National Park. The park is famed for its majestic elephants and stunning landscapes dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro. Explore the park’s open plains, acacia woodlands, and swamp areas teeming with wildlife. Around midday, enjoy your picnic lunch at Observation Hill, which offers panoramic views of the park’s lakes and marshes. Continue your game drive in the afternoon before returning to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Amboseli to Masai Mara (Flight)

After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive as you head to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara via Nairobi. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you for a transfer and game drive en route to your lodge or camp. Check in, have lunch, and relax before your evening game drive. As the sun sets, witness the Mara come alive with wildlife from elephants and buffaloes to lions and cheetahs all across the rolling savannahs. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp or lodge.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Full Day Safari Experience

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive exploring the vast Masai Mara. Search for the Big Five lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos along with cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Mara River, where you might spot hippos and crocodiles basking on the banks. Continue exploring different sections of the reserve for diverse sightings and stunning photographic opportunities. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara to Nairobi (Flight & Departure)

After breakfast, you may choose to visit a traditional Maasai village (optional, at an extra cost) to learn about their vibrant culture, customs, and daily life. Later, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day Kenya flying safari.
